 Place your tissue blade down the length of the zig zag cane.  This is how it will look. Now slice it and take that slice to the other side.  Like this and then put the zig zags together.  Like this. |

 Slice off the pointed tip from one end...  and place it in the indentation at the other end.  Then you get a rectangle that is a basket weave.  That's what it looks like from the side. |
