I'm a happy grandma

04-26-10: Using the same “about” content from the “designs” blog. Why reinvent the wheel?

I am returning to my former name of Nora Jean Stone. I did a DIY divorce and it will be final 09/15/2010.

What to tell folks that they don’t know already? Female, half Japanese half white, granny boomer, born in 1949.  4 grown sons, 5 grandchildren (4 boys and a girl), and happily divorced.

Since 1999 I’ve been an online art teacher sharing my polymer clay and miniature making journey with CITY-o-Clay. My website NoraJean.com is a chronicle of my journey with polymer clay, showing the disasters as well as the successes. What I discover about technique I’m dedicated to sharing it for free.

My mission is to support myself with art products made in the course of providing free tutorials on my website.  Art is not only for the rich and college educated. Everyone has a right to express themselves.  Art is the glue of a culture.  I want to convince as many people as possible that they can be an artist

Now that I am a single woman I aim to evolve as an artist, continue to teach for free to those who have limited funds, teach for a fee for those who have resources to spare, passing the virtual hat.

If you’re reading this then you have a roof over your head, electricity, a computer, internet access, and that means that you’re part of the 3% of the world’s population that has such stuff.  Even though we’re going through a recession we don’t have it bad, not as bad as most around the world, who are sleeping on dirt floors and not knowing where the next meal is coming from.

That being said, if you use my free tutorials and have some spare resources you can share with this granny, then please donate to my PayPal account.  Any funds I get through this about page will go to supporting this website, which you’re using, after all. If you don’t know how to do that check this PayPal Page.
