Gold Feather: Taking the Fish Scale and transforming it to a bird's wing started out with a jelly roll blend of a powdery light blue and gold. Cut into four lengths, each length was surrounded with a thin sheet of copper. The sections were stacked with the points going in the same direction and from there it gets busy. The cane was reduced to a triangle, reduced and repeated. The final cane was shaped to an oval and reduced to a long cone. It was sections of that tapering oval cane that made the Gold Feather Cane.
