05-29-03: 009 - This begins what went on in log #3. On the left is one petal of the orchid that was done in a previous demo. I took that petal, faced it to itself to make a wedge. Reduced and sliced and put 6 wedges together for an instant fancy cane. Often fancy stuff is just a lot of simple things repeated. It made a nice pin back for a stray trumpet flower and one of those leaves we've been doing.
