The Rhubarb Orchid All orchids have 7 parts. 5 petals. 1 stamen. 1 lip. The lip is what turns into a pouch on those orchids that look like carnivorous plants. There's two petals that stick out on either side of the lip, when the lip turns into a pouch these two hide behind it and fuse into one. That's the trick of it.
