Denise
is going to be coordinating the New Video Library that I'm
starting up.
Just like our Lending Library, the Newbie Boxes and Donations, the
Video Library will be available to those list members who have been
active for at least 3 months. Going to Demo counts as being active.
I can't allow copies of videos that are up for sale to be donated to
this video library, don't want the artists who are trying to make
money come down hard on this list. So all the videos that are going
to be donated are bought outright, we're just sharing them.
The first two vid set is a BBC series dealing with the FACE,
presented
by John Cleese. For those who are sculpting faces this series is a
must see.
"This 4 part
BBC series examines the science behind facial beauty, expression, and fame in
an entertaining fashion."
I
am also going to be donating Sister Wendy's tour of 6
American Museums. The Valley of the Kings, a new vid about the new
archeological activities in Egypt. We're starting out with the faces
though.
Denise is going to be getting them in a couple of days and I'm sure
she'll give us a wonderful review of the videos.
If you have videos that will help us get a grip on our clay and
wrestle miniatures to the ground, then please donate them to our
video library.
One way to by pass the 3 month wait is to donate stuff. I think I'll
make that a new loop hole for those new list members who are just
happy as ducks to be here and want to get started. Donate some books,
raw and cured clay items, art supplies to the Library, Newbie Box and
Donations coordinators and I think that counts as being active, don't
you? At the bottom of each post is a link to the Who's Who and What's
What with MSATClayArt, you can check there to see what I'm nattering
about.
Also...there's some movies that are wonderful for inspiration, like
Elizabeth Taylor's "Cleopatra" ... I have that and am willing to
donate that to our Video Library. Videos don't have to be about
polymer clay or miniatures, they can be general all around
inspirational videos. I have a series on Dinosaurs, that should go to
the Video Library too. Never know when someone wants to make a
dinosaur or a dragon that is more believable.
Remember, postage for sending these things out to
your claymates is donated as well. Donate a mess of postage and
bypass the three month wait, ya, that's a good idea too.
So clay on and don't let the list grow quiet just because I'm at
work. I do love to see what all y'all are working on when I get home.
xoxo
