auntyalias: the white water lily is easier, I tend to do a blend of pearl and gold so it's pinkish towards the center
auntyalias: but it is leaf shapes that are pinched on the outer petal
auntyalias: at the tip
auntyalias: and bowl shaped where it touches the stalk
auntyalias: we need a snake of green that has a wire in it or something to use as the stalk
auntyalias: and then we start with the bud in the middle, couple of leaf shapes hugging each other
auntyalias: and then start adding lily petals going around that, it's pretty simple I think
auntyalias: let me move the cam and get some clay prepped
auntyalias: you might want to do a web search of water lilies and paste those urls in the chat here
auntyalias: so we can get a good picture of a real one to work with

auntyalias: that's the plan, but the trick is to have that fussy yellow center
auntyalias: already done at the end of the stalk before adding the petals
