DOD Skull Cane - 4, Some folks just flip out when they see a dog bone like this. Some folks pinch the ends and rolls the cane. Other people massage the cane and slap it down on the table. I always pull the cane to reduce it. The design doesn't get as distorted as rolling or slapping it around. The caved in ends that you see can be prevented with a sheet of glass placed on the cane ends before reducing, it works like a suction cup. But I found the caved in ends gave me winking skulls that were very amusing.
