Folded Clay Sheets made into Pots Sometimes the sweetest things are made with the smallest bit of experimental cane. This was such an item. Taking basket weave chop and toss I filled the segments of leaves, gave it a surround before stacking for a chevron flip. Lots of pearl and burnt umber, as delicious as a hot fudge sundae. I had like a half an inch of this yummy little leaf cane so I put thin slices on a small square and pressed a couple of green leaves on with it. Then I decided that I'm not only going to crease the top side of the fold but also crease the back side of the fold too, like we do with origami. Man did it work or what? Love this little shape, it's delicate and it is utilitarian. The bottom is even cute with four green leaves star bursting on the bottom. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, |
