Jack Fertig

Jack Fertig 1955- 2012: A fellow volunteer with the San Francisco Astrological Society, passed away August 5, 2012. So it is my sad duty to accept the additional position of Web Master for SFAS until such time as an other volunteer accepts that position.

3/17/12: International Astrology Day (IAD) is an annual observance/holiday celebrated by astrologers and astrology enthusiasts. It is held on the spring equinox, the day the Sun enters Aries, which is the first sign of the Tropical Zodiac, and has long been considered the astrological new year. In observance of IAD the Association For Astrological Networking (AFAN) co-ordinates astrological lectures and events around the world. A portion of the proceeds from the IAD - San Francisco event will be donated to AFAN.

02-16-2012: No longer with Astrology New Service. Social Media Marketing wasn't a good fit. The audience they aimed at was specific, not general.

01-31-2012: Astrology News Service recruited me to be their "Social Media Maven" aka Social Network Marketer. I just updated their "About" page with my name and a link back to this section of my website. I'll write more about ANS when I get my "sea legs" but for now this is the news that's fit to print.

04-28-11: New Publicity Director for the San Francisco Astrological Society

I volunteered for the position and was accepted. We waited until Mercury went direct before moving forward.

Tonight the announcement will be made at the monthly meeting: Fort Mason, building C, room 260, 7:30pm. Be there or be square.

12-18-2010: I Joined the San Francisco Astrological Society. I was moved to join after attending a panel discussion on "2011 and beyond". Check their page for info on the current guest speaker:

Associations I'm looking into:
The National Council for Geocosmic Research, Inc., (NCGR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising the standards of astrological education and research. The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter sponsors monthly seminars at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco.
