This cane is just two colors of clay sheets stacked and reduced to a square.
Then the square is sliced on the diagonal and one side flipped for the
chevron stripe. |

Taking the leaf slice and placing it at the crease that is made with your
thumb and forefinger, press the center of the leaf on the crease. Wrap
around the sides of the leaf on your finger and thumb, which are curved.
Pull off and then bend and stretch to taste. |
