Fleshing the Doll and Striking a Pose Looks like something out of Twin Peaks. I'm going to be working on the face so before I do I protect the rest of the doll, from itself and from me. Another thing I do is I put my dolls in a small abalone shell, so the head sticks over the edge and the body isn't held by my hand but rests inside of the shell. I did that for the Golden Mermaid because I dressed her before doing her face. I had to protect her scales and I didn't want the warmth of my hands to smudge her clay fabric. Here I'm just keeping her clean. |
