Pallet Thumbnails: I have to confess, I love this picture just too much. The folding of the sheet of clay gives instant sculptural effects, it's too easy really. I just pulled on the ends of the folds and turned them under. I love how it reminds me of an incoming wave, the fluidity of the natural fall of the folds, there's a truth in it, in the physics of it. I'm just exploiting the natural elastic properties of the clay. This abalone experiment is pleasing me more than the 3-4 other efforts to date.
