Baby Face - Index:

My grand daughter Rhiannon as a big cheeked baby. Baby faces are different that grown up faces. So we may as well look closely at a baby'd mug shot to see just how they are different.

May 13, 2012 a post to the ClayMates at CITY-o-Clay for Mother's Day

In looking around on my website I realize I have a half dozen figures that are devoted to Mothers and their babies or children. I thought I'd share them with you because, as you know, most of my web sections have links on how these things were created.

MerMom kissing her baby in a hinged chicken egg shell. She was traded with Beth Lane for Thelma Thunderthighs.

http://bethlanecreations.tripod.com/DANCE.GIF I'll have to correct the link on that page so that's why I'm giving  you the good link.

(2) http://www.norajean.com/Biz-Archive/Sculpt/NursingMom/006-Thms.htm

Nursing Mom with her baby. This was given as a gift to a woman, new mother, who I met at while doing Elder Care. She looked just like my sculpture and I had brought the sculpture to show Ms. Ruth. ClayMates who were here in 2003 remember Ms. Ruth. Well her young mommy friend just fell in love with this sculpture so how could I say no. I have no idea where that sculpture is at this time. That's ok.

(3) http://www.norajean.com/Biz-Archive/Eggs/EasterEmu/007-1.htm

Mother in Blue with baby in an Emu egg shell. This has a lot of "how to" sections so if you're interested click on this link for the main page.

Believe it or not, she's still a work in progress. I wanted to put clouds around the edges and the side of the Emu egg shell that faces her still is not where I'd like it to be. Don't be in a hurry to finish things. Some items take years to complete and that's alright.

(4) MerBlue family with Mother, Father, and baby

http://www.norajean.com/New_Projects/MerBlue/023.htm another long term project and it didn't help that my grand daughter broke one side of Dad's tail fin. I keep on poking about at this when the Blue Mood strikes me. For process shots and screen shots of the making of the MerBlue Mom go to the main index for this section: http://www.norajean.com/New_Projects/MerBlue/Index.htm

(5) http://www.norajean.com/New_Projects/Josana/002.htm Josana and her baby is probably the best documented. Ulrik in Germany captured the webcam demo with "snag-it" software. Sent the avi files to me. I loaded them into Movie Magic and gave them captions.

I did this sculpture of the Green Lady and she seemed lonely. So I made her a daughter PenPal, a sculpted figure around a BIC pen barrel,
