Ammonite Experiments - A quick way to simulate natural things is with blends. This twist was made of two blended sheets. The usual blend of dark mix (see Tiger's Eye) with gold going from one end to the other. Then a new blend I'm working with. A middle blend. I took a strip of pearl and added a slab of burnt umber in the middle and blended so the ends were light and the middle blended. Then these two sheets were stacked, sliced and twisted. The merging of the usual blend with the middle blend makes for natural effect that can be replicated easily.
