Monthly Highlights - 2007-05: Family was the focus for May 2007.

All blog posts will be un-linked. Two blogs disappeared when I changed webhosts 4/2012.

05-31-07: This month has been filled with family matters. My favorite Uncle Masuhiko died. My fifth grand child, Dylan, was born. I decided to sculpt  my body at the gym. Family ties were strengthened and old hatchets buried. That's why you haven't seen any new tutorials. That's ok, there's a boatload of tutes here and in the archive.

What's on the drawing board is a Texas Tour, Austin, TX, to be exact. Dates TBA, Fall of 2007 or early 2008. There's some talk about doing some vids with some folks. Time to practice my stand up comedy in the guise of teaching folks how to get a grip on their clay. I'll be setting up an e-commerce section because it's time to make this gig self supporting. Yeah, I know I've given it effort before, but it's do or die time now at the old ranchero.

Lastly, this last year has been a time for me to learn to follow the instructions I give to the ClayMates: use the colors you love the most, use the designs you love the most, make every bit of clay art something that is a labor of love. After years of doing "short orders" in Demo I lost my own way. This shifting of gears, getting grounded with the family, taking a break from making things, to synthesizing the input of my life, I hope to create clay art that will have meaning to me. Art is a selfish process after all.  So that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

05-31-07 Blue Moon: Some things happen rarely, like this second full moon in a month, today's full moon. So these two pictures are the "Once in a blue moon" collection. Family events that are special and rare.

Two Weeks - 05/18/07: Today marks the second week of working out every day for 2 hours.

On the day my fifth grandchild was born I signed up at the local gym. This is the start of the chronicle of my sculpting my self.

05/11/07: My fifth grandchild. Dylan Bruce Wagner, joining the happy three you see in the upper right corner of this home page. That's my oldest son, Carl Benjamin Yoichi Wagner, his wife Lisa and their first son, Nathan.

05/06/07: I just wanted to post something with that date. This is a shot of my "Blood Red" hair color. It's part of my Second Saturn Return Transformation.  I had to take a picture of it before sharing it with the ClayMates at CITY-o-Clay.
