| Putting the Abalone 2002 colors through their paces: These are some of the cured and finished "hanging hankies" pins. Experimenting with how to make polymer clay look and act like fabric. If I were to pick one hanging hankie pin that fascinates me the most, I'd pick the larger, folded sheet technique one on the right. I like how the clay fabric fell, how the pressed lines in the clay came out, and how the abalone colors thinned out when repeated layers of pearl were put behind it and then pressed. |
