| Putting the Abalone 2002 colors through their paces: These are not cured yet and given the size of the type on the tape they are resting on, you can figure they are small. That Jelly Fold trick, when reduced and then chop and tossed make some interesting designs because of all the lines, as well as the hues involved. This will look a bit different once cured and sanded. The pearl is smooshy and sinks in when stretched over something, so the colors stick up and the pearl falls in. Once sanded it'll have a different feel to it. Sometimes it's good to let the pearl sink in, but not on this one, the texture shouts louder than the design. |
