| Putting the Abalone 2002 colors through their paces: This pot is the one I wrote about on the list. I folded the thin clay sheet but I didn't press it, rather curved it so it would be a ruffled collar on an Elizabethan "head on a plate" sort of collar. When the pleats were in a circle, then I built the pot going upward. Very interesting effect. I like it very much. Dragons belly can be done this way if you fold it going in one direction and press, then fold it going in the other direction and then press... perfect dragon's belly. |
