Indian Corn One
Tile Tute
Your
Kwanzaa mini display wouldn't be complete without Indian
Corn. The mini Day of the Dead Oferenda could use some too. See the 1998
link below for the original Indian Corn experiment. This one tile tute isn't
much different. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

From
1998 my first Day of the Dead Altar The first thing I ever made with
polymer clay, for myself and not for my children's entertainment was pan de
muertos, bread for The Dead, celebrating Dias de los Muertos, Day of the
Dead.
It is celebrated
around Halloween and has nothing to do with it although Halloween traditions
are infiltrating the Mexican pop culture due to exposure to the States.
Days of the Dead
is to honor those who have passed on. To place on altars food, marigolds,
candles, pictures, toys even a glass of Tequila, is to give loving energy to
the dead and "keep the spirits" quiet. It also helps folks deal with
grief over time.
